Waterview House w/ Fenced Yard, Woodboat, & Museum

We (4 adults) stayed for a week here with our two dogs. Allison (the host) provided easy check in and was friendly and communicated promptly relating to any questions we had. The house was well equipped with anything we needed even though I packed a lot of our own things just in case. There was even a stand mixer to use when I made a bday cake! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, great water pressure in the showers, and the dogs enjoyed the fenced yard. A short walk into town takes you to fun restaurants and to our favorite spot, the ADK chairs on the river. Check out instructions were clear and as easy as check in. Overall, a great week spent and we’d definitely choose this house again for a future stay.

Exceptional Stay!We had an incredible stay at this property! The house was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The photos and description accurately represented the property, but experiencing it in person was even better.The location was perfect, offering both convenience to nearby activities and a quiet atmosphere to relax. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and provided seamless check-in instructions.We couldn't have asked for a better host or stay, and we would definitely love to book this place again in the future. Highly recommended!

Wonderful location and very responsive host. Loved the large fenced yard and location close to the river and walking distance to most everything in Clayton and short drive to Cape Vincent and Alex Bay. Would stay again!

This house is in an amazing location, close to the water and walking distance to town and many restaurants. We really appreciated the proximity to everything important in town. The house was clean when we checked in. It was quite hot outside however the various air conditioners worked well. I would give it overall four stars, after considerable thought, because of a few issues noted. First, the fence which encloses the driveway end of the “fenced yard” was broken and about to come off the hinge. We were not planning on relying on this fence for our dogs, as they would have fit underneath it anyways, but the broken part kept blowing into the driveway area. Additionally, although there is a washer and dryer in the basement for guest use (my adult children did use them), I felt the stairs to the basement were too steep and dangerous for me personally to go down them. Finally, while the downstairs bathroom was modern and updated, the upstairs bath had a claw footed tub which was difficult to climb in and out of, with a slippery floor underneath.
